The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $38.74 a month for 24 months; 0% April, on Verizon device payment ($829.99 with a 2-yr contract, $929.99 full retail). Apple says it's the most powerful Mac ever made. Apple also announced refreshes to the iMac, the MacBook Pro and the iMac during WWDC.

The iMac has an AMD Radeon Pro 570 with 4GB of video RAM driving the new 5120 by 2880 pixel Retina screen at 60Hz refresh rate. With an all-flash architecture and all-new thermal design, iMac Pro delivers up to 80 percent more cooling capacity in the same thin and seamless iMac design. Apple has also introduced a new 13-inch MacBoook pro model that comes sans the touch bar and is cheaper than last year's base model. "Radeon Pro 500 Series graphics are enabling new generations of makers with compute-accelerated creative tools and new APIs, bringing their imaginations to life in ways like never before". Graphics power will come courtesy of AMD's Radeon Vega graphics chip with up to 16GB of VRAM on board. RAM can scale up to 64 and 128 GB, while storage support is configurable at 2 and 4 TB SSD as well.

While Apple has largely just updated the MacBook Pro in line with its rivals, it's pushing things forward in one area: graphics. For the record, the iMac has a headset jack, an Ethernet port, a SD card reader, four USB 3.0 ports, and two USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports. VGA, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt 2 outputs are also supported with adapters sold separately. One wonders what kind of system they'll ultimately unveil as a replacement for the current Mac Pro, if the new iMac Pro packs this kind of firepower. Availability is expected in the United States, Canada, and Europe first.

I'll leave it to you to decide, and the current iMac design is very nice, classic and functional, but I think Apple should've done something to enhance the looks of the computer, as it does with iPhones. And coupled with the new improvements in macOS High Sierra, these new machines will be at the forefront of VR content creation.
