Cryptic No Man's Sky packages talk a lot about portals

So then, "portal". Could it refer to a new gameplay feature headed to No Man's Sky via a future update?

It was previously detailed that 16 individuals received a package from the No Man's Sky developer, Hello Games, which contained one cassette tape and various merchandise.

"Apply the ROT13 substitution cipher and you get 706f7274616c, a hexadecimal value".

Some recipients have been reluctant to give up their tapes, making an analysis of all 16 a bit tougher, but one user said Hello Games apparently foresaw this and has promised help if the need arises. Seven have been reported found so far.

Here's the explanation of the new event from the Reddit community: "Greetings".

UN reports fresh IS killings, air strike deaths in Mosul
Iraqi forces backed by the US -led coalition have been working to rout ISIS from their remaining neighborhoods in west Mosul . OHCHR also said recent airstrikes in IS-held areas in west Mosul killed up to 80 civilians.

As revealed on Reddit by user BaRKy1911, Hello Games contacted several mods from No Man's Sky subreddits some time ago with a request that the mods send their mailing addresses.

"The two moderators who received their packages before yesterday either hadn't been able to open their packages yet or were waiting until more started to receive theirs before saying they got a cassette tape".

"We look forward to working with the moderators who have cassettes and the community at large". We wanted to just double check with HG to make sure it was fine.

"We have confirmed with HG that it is 100% fine to share everything, so we will be doing so". However, that seems like it's going to be a logistical nightmare since some of them live in different parts of the country and even other countries.

The update to the game came in March when Hello Games released the 1.22 patch, bringing "exocraft" buggies to every planet in the galaxy among.
