Apple's iOS 11 is giving up more of its secrets, with developers discovering plans for a new "Core NFC" feature that was not revealed during the company's WWDC keynote earlier this week.

Bloomberg previously reported Apple has spent more than $1 billion on acquisitions to bolster its efforts and spent years researching and developing for the technology. That means new Pro still weighs in at just a pound while maintaining the same 10-hour battery life.

iOS 11 could solve your Wi-Fi headaches. The new Files app lets you see all of the files on your iPad or iPhone all in one place. You'll also need the latest iOS 10.3.2 file that's available for your device.

It's called Smart Invert, it turns any white background to black, and it was demonstrated on stage. Once enabled, it will automatically remove apps if the iPhone or iPad is running out of storage space. With iOS 11, you can kick your Venmo habit and iMessage your friends money with Apple Pay, have Siri translate for you as you sightsee in Rome, and multitask so much on your iPad Pro that you'll never pick up your laptop again.

While the phone will still work (and it's a little bit awesome that it still does), users won't be able to download the latest apps or security upgrades to protect against hackers and vulnerabilities.

New MacBook Pro: 6 Reasons to Buy, 3 Reasons Not To
While the company hasn't totally revamped the 2016 MacBook, it has introduced some pretty significant changes in the 2017 models. The 2017 MacBook has the dimensions as its predecessor - it weighs around 920 grams and measures 0.52 inches in thickness.

According to The Guardian, those using newer devices such as the iPhone 7 and the latest iPad will also be affected by the new software as some older apps are only coded to 32-bit and not for a 64-bit system.

Among other things, there are redesigns in the App Store, Calculator, and Podcasts, with a new app drawer in Messages.

In addition to the amusing Appocolapyse spot illustrating why apps (and app-makers) are crucial, there were other announcements of note. Below is the feature that is new to iOS 11. When Apple's iOS 11 update comes out this fall, it will include a "Do Not Disturb While Driving" mode.

Apple, however, said AR plus the company's devices would be the "largest AR platform in the world".

Developers on iOS 11 get a new ARKit which they can use on the iPhone and iPad itself to create apps with augmented reality.
