The machine can be further configured with an 18-core Xeon processors and up to 22 Teraflops of graphics computation.
The new Apple MacBook refreshed models are already available through the company's store, with retail availability slated for June 7. There are four Thunderbolt 3 ports and 10GB Ethernet.
"With major updates to iMac, and a refresh of our MacBook and MacBook Pro lines, the Mac is stronger than ever", said John Ternus, Apple's vice president of Hardware Engineering.

Reuters sources say OPEC officials discussed deepening the cuts last week and could revisit the proposal. Benchmark Brent crude futures were off by almost 3% at $49.14 per barrel (bbl) at 5:34 a.m.
Unsurprisingly, Apple replaced the previous models' Thunderbolt 2 ports with a pair of Thunderbolt 3 ports that support DisplayPort for external screens, Thunderbolt at up to 40 Gbps, USB 3.1 Gen 2 at up to 10 Gbps, and various other protocols via adapters (see "Explaining Thunderbolt 3, USB-C, and Everything In Between", 3 November 2016).
The 13-inch MacBook Pro is now powered by the 3.5 GHz Core i7 Kaby Lake processors with Turbo Boost up to 4.0 GHz, While the 15-inch MacBook Pro is powered by the 3.1 GHz Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.1 GHz. The iMac Pro will start shipping this December starting at $4,999. This new model is called the iMac Pro and will be available later this year.
If that doesn't make you drool, you can stop reading this bit now, but the long and short of it is that the iMac Pro looks set to be an extremely quick machine, and work great for demanding graphics, video, yes VR/AR, and that somewhat scary application, machine learning.
According to Apple, the new twin-blower thermal redesign offers an 80 percent boost in thermal capacity compared with previous-generation iMac models. Featuring a new next-generation compute core and up to 16GB of on-package high-bandwidth memory (HBM2), iMac Pro with the Vega GPU delivers up to an unbelievable 11 Teraflops of single-precision compute power for real-time 3D rendering and immersive, high frame rate VR. So while Apple is offering its most powerful Mac ever, it is also asking buyers to make their most expensive gamble ever.
That has always been true for the MacBooks naturally as well as the Mac Pro.
