President Donald Trump has lashed out in a series of tweets amid a firestorm over the abrupt firing of FBI Director James Comey.

He said the world was "more unstable than even at the height of the Cold War" because of a failed approach to global security, with botched foreign interventions making the world a "more risky place".

"Would you order the indiscriminate killing of millions of people?"

However he said the question he has been asked before if he would use the nuclear deterrent was "extraordinary".

While Falwell has been an avid supporter of Trump since his campaign days, many at his university aren't so easily convinced. Trump also took time during the speech to discuss the history of Liberty University and give a nod its athletics program.

In a speech to the Chatham House think tank Corbyn, a well known opponent of past military interventions in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, said he would make the safety of Britain a priority if elected at the June 8 General Election.

Speaking in London, Mr Corbyn said that the United Kingdom would have a "robust and independent foreign policy" working towards peace and security under a Labour government. Would you risk such extensive contamination of the planet that no life could exist across large parts of the world?

Under Mr Corbyn, Labour will return to the "ethical" foreign policy championed by Robin Cook.

" If circumstances arose where that was a real option, it would represent complete and cataclysmic failure".

"A disregard for human rights leads to disdain for the human consequences of war", she wrote in The Guardian.

Jeremy Corbyn has said he is not a pacifist and would do "everything necessary" to protect Britain's security if he becomes prime minister after June 8.

Despite his long record as an anti-war campaigner, the Labour leader says there are circumstances when military intervention is justified as a "genuine last resort".

Speaking during a Conservative campaign visit to an indoor market in Newport, south Wales, Mr Johnson said: "I am genuinely anxious about some of the things Jeremy Corbyn stands for and believes in".
