Interested parties can pick up the tender documents from 12 to 24 May on payment of Rs5 lakh. Ten cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cuttack, Durgapur, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Ranchi, Siliguri and Thiruvananthapuram - have been shortlisted and a maximum of three clubs will be included in the next iteration of the popular competition.
The organisers will award one to three new franchises the right to participate in the ISL. There were proposals that the two Kolkata giants and Bengaluru FC could be added in the expanded ISL. Despite being the champions, Aizawl would have been relegated if ISL was made the main league as they did not have any place in the franchise league.
