A woman in Avon, Connecticut, had a curious visitor at her door while she made brownies last Wednesday. This incident was especially terrifying for the female homeowner who was baking brownies as the bear pressed up against her glass door. "He's not afraid of noise, screaming, yelling or pounding".

After much commotion, the bear ended up taking the hint and left before police arrived on the scene.

During its efforts to get inside, the bear managed to get through a screen door, but attempts to get through three other doors into the house proper were not successful.

It's just one of several bear sightings in the Avon area, about ten miles west of Hartford.

A black bear showed up at the back deck of the CT woman's home.

Bill Belfiore said the black bear refused to be scared off.

As per sources, the 23-year old arrived at the Kalina airport, at around 1:30 AM in a chartered flight along with his crew. For the song, the Grammy-winning singer was joined by back-up dancers with "Beliebers" continuing to pump up the evening.

"He actually left the kitchen area and went to a second set of doors off the deck and tried those", Belfiore said, "and then went to a third set of doors into the living room and attempted to get into those".

"It was a rather harrowing experience", Belfiore told WFSB, "although it looks cute in the photos".

According to neighbor Bob Belfiore, the bear was "angry" that it was unable to access the food.

Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has advised residents to avoid "encounters and potential conflicts" with black bears.

Although it is not unusual to have bears wandering around rural properties, the persistence of this bear is unsettling to residents and such occurrences are only becoming more common as the bear population grows. However, those calls we would not categorize as a "nuisance bear"'.
