"The biggest tax cut plan in history", the voice intoned, without mentioning that Trump has yet to offer any legislation - or even a set of policy prescriptions - for reordering the tax code to achieve the enormous cuts for businesses and individuals that he has endorsed.

"This is a president that has signed 30 executive orders, not since FDR has that occurred".

But US courts twice blocked his most high-profile order, a temporary ban on citizens from several Muslim-majority countries entering the United States. Nevertheless, he put on a fearless face in discussing the early days of his presidency.

During the rally Trump also launched a scathing attack on the national news media at a Pennsylvania rally he organised to coincide with the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner.

"His determination to leverage his office to expand his commercial empire is the only objective to which Americans, after 100 days, can be confident this president will stay true".

The anecdotes feature a blizzard of Trump's actions since taking the Oval Office, including the nomination of Supreme Court Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch and the signing of executive orders while highlighting how stock markets climbed to new highs on optimistic us data and expectations of tax reform.

Economic growth has yet to match what Trump promised on the campaign trail. After the ad was discreetly taken down, an updated version was posted to the campaign's YouTube account, without the clip of the president and McMaster.
