According to the airline, the altercation occurred during the deplaning of flight 2539 in Burbank after the plane landed from Dallas.
A Southwest Airlines flights from Dallas to the Los Angeles area Sunday (May 7) ended with two passengers throwing punches at one another, NBC 4 Southern California reports.
According to ABC News, the fight began due to some sort of verbal disagreement, which lead to the alleged suspect, 37-year-old Chaze Cable, assaulting the other man.
He is being held on $50,000 dollars bail.
In the footage, which was posted to Twitter, two men can be seen jostling with one another before one is thrown into the seats in front of them. The airline said three people were involved in the fight rather than two. The unidentified victim suffered a contusion on his eye, a chipped tooth and a laceration on his nose.
"Everyone was de-planing then all heck broke loose", passenger Michael Krause told CBS. Passengers say the fight broke out as the plane taxied to the gate.

The fight is one of the latest disturbing incident on a USA flight.
It's unclear why the scuffle started between the two men.
The airline said its employees did the right thing by reacting quickly and keeping things from getting worse. We have no other reports of injuries.
The plane was stopping in Burbank before heading to Oakland. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after Spirit Airlines cancelled several flights.
Southwest said its employees were "everyday heroes" trained to de-escalate such situations.
