Gareth Bale agrees to make stunning move to Manchester United?

In March, Bale was said to be considering a shock move to Manchester United, a club who have always been interested in the Welshman.

Diario Gol: Gareth Bale has agreed to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United if they reach the Champions League.

The Red Devils seem to be finding it hard to make it into the top four in the Premier League, with their 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday being a major setback.

Bale will reportedly only join Jose Mourinho's side if they qualify for next season's edition of the UEFA Champions League, something the Portuguese manager still has hopes of achieving.

The whole idea seems a little far-fetched with the Gunners unlikely to be in the Champions League next season and if Bale were to move, that would surely be one of his demands. "I can't ever envisage a situation where Bale isn't playing at Real Madrid".

Despite scoring seven goals in his last nine appearances, including two at the weekend against Granada, Rodriguez has often found himself on the bench for Real Madrid's biggest games.

Gibson said Bale can not afford to miss as many games next season as he has this season amid reports that the Madrid hierarchy are losing patience with him.

Bale made his name during a six-year spell at Tottenham where he developed in to one of the best attackers in the Premier League before securing a then world-record £86m move to Madrid in 2013. United faces Celta Vigo in the semifinal second leg of that competition on Thursday at Old Trafford, holding a 1-0 lead from the first game. Bale would still command a hefty transfer fee and Real Madrid will likely try to sell him off before it falls any lower, and it may be time for Bale to reconsider their positions and think about moving to a familiar league, where he would once again have a team centered around him.
