But what about those for whom breathless analysis of the draft is a feature, and not a bug?
The Eagles haven't won a playoff game since 2002 draft picks Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown left town - Sheppard after the 2008 season, Brown after the 2009 season.
During the first round, I was flipping between ESPN and Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia for draft coverage, and I loved what CSNPhilly analyst Ray Didinger had to say about Barnett.
That is a question my wife asks all the time. So Minnesota first will be on the clock at No. 48 in the second round on Friday night.
"I want to lead a defense".
How did you get into the draft in the first place? I was always interested in football ... "I think they should go with defense". "I knew I would go a long way with it". After Cunningham, you had the Detmers and Bubby Brister and Rodney Peete.
"That's true. That's something I did, and it's something I'm very proud of". He makes you feel comfortable.

Eagles personnel boss Howie Roseman said when Douglas walked in his office in December to rave about Barnett, he pulled out a piece of paper to show him he had already written Barnett's name down. And they do a lot of trading.
It sure looks like the Giants had a unusual draft. I'm just excited to learn from them, just pick their brains. They were one of my last visits. "I've learned to appreciate everything that comes my way". Because in the later rounds ... sometimes players get traded. It wasn't a sexy pick, but it was a necessary one.
The Eagles saw that production. Philadelphia has not drafted a running back in 31 years, but this may be the year to consider it. "So I think I get that attitude from her".
What they started a year ago was to build around a quarterback.
The Philadelphia Eagles released defensive end Connor Barwin this offseason, so look for them to have high expectations from the jump. "I'm looking forward to doing so". Only time will tell if they made the correct selections, however.
