Antonio Conte wants Chelsea to claim the Premier League title at the first opportunity at West Brom on Friday.
"Now we are very close", Conte said. "But we need to do another little step and win another game", Conte told reporters after Monday's match, which condemned Middlesbrough to relegation.
"For sure now I am a bit relaxed", Antonio Conte, the mastermind behind this title run, said.
"Today is a big step forward". It's great. Now we need to do another step.
In this mood it is hard to see the league title coming from anywhere other than at West Brom on Friday night. On Friday we have a good chance to finish this league, and we are ready. We know West Brom are a hard team to play against - we had a very tough game here (1-0 win at Stamford Bridge in December).
And his popularity only continued to soar after his side's 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Diego Costa set them on their way against the doomed visitors in the 23rd minute after the Spaniard scored after a Cesc Fabregas pass.
Ryan Seacrest new Kelly Ripa co-host on 'Live'
Ripa found out about the dramatic departure roughly the same time the public did, taking her by complete surprise. Gifford left the show in 2000, and Ripa joined a year later, with the show's name changing to " Live! ".
The half-time interval did little to halt Chelsea's fee as Pedro rattled bench as well as Costa nearly kipped down his second at the far post.
Chelsea were without their injured France global N'Golo Kante, who won this season's PFA and football writers' Player of the Year awards, but Spaniard Cesc Fabregas controlled the midfield with nearly languid confidence in his absence.
"Because in this season, Cesc at the start didn't play a lot".
"That's everyone, every player and every member of staff, that myself, that's why we find ourselves in this position. This development of Cesc is our development", Conte admmited in the press conference following the victory over Middlesbrough.
The Chelsea #4 is now the first player to record 10 or more assists across six different Premier League seasons. For this reason I felt in my heart to go and clap these fans and also to say good luck for next season to every single player. "Now he's deserving this". They join northeast rivals Sunderland in the Championship next season. The Italian applauded the crowd, turned to each stand, and finally cracked a smile as the fans sang his name.
He added: "It's a Premier League club in terms of everything about it".
