Raiders bring RB Marshawn Lynch out of retirement

He is expected to be putting on a Oakland Raiders uniform.

Anyone that knows Lynch knows how unpredictable he can be, and whether or not Lynch plays out the extent of his contract is to be determined.

The Seattle Seahawks own Lynch's rights, so the two sides still have to work out a deal before Lynch could become a member of the Raiders. That formality was taken care of by Wednesday morning, according to NFL Network reporters Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said that Lynch will get a two-year deal from the Raiders. The max value of the incentive-laden deal is worth a reported $8.5m. This was their plan all along, but without him on the roster, the team figured to invest at the running back position in some fashion with its eight selections.

By trading Lynch, Seattle can not ask for any of Lynch's bonus back, but the Seahawks do at least get some form of compensation.

But the state's death row houses 240 inmates, and state officials want to return to using sodium thiopental. Lethal injection is the primary means of execution in all 31 states that use the death penalty.

He will look to bounce back from an injury plagued final season with Seattle when he carried just 111 times for 417 yards and three touchdowns. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Raiders were only willing to pay one-third of the US$9 million (approximately AU$11,930,011) that the Seahawks would pay him if he played next season.

Talk of a return for Marshawn Lynch has been hard to keep track of given his unpredictability, but the Raiders have been his rumored landing spot. And while it's true the Raiders need a running back to fill the gaping hole left by the departure of Latavius Murray, that running back doesn't need to be Marshawn Lynch. To date, Oakland only has Taiwan Jones, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard representing the depth chart.

Though not set in stone, McKenzie has set the Draft as an artificial deadline for Lynch to come back down to reality. What I'm saying is that it was pretty clear the Raiders really needed Lynch, and it appears his new teammates feel the same way, too. Additionally, it would mean that the Seahawks could potentially get 2017 draft compensation, though it seems more likely that they'll ask for 2018 draft compensation with conditions.

The Broncos will have to try to stop Lynch two times a year.
