The NFL Network reported early Wednesday that a trade between the Seahawks and Raiders for running back Marshawn Lynch is almost complete and that running back will sign a new deal in Oakland.

Lynch retired following the 2015 season and still has a contract with the Seattle Seahawks. As they look towards the NFL Draft, and their lack of a first round pick, many assumed they would trade backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for some draft picks.

The Seahawks and Raiders will finalize a trade once Lynch passes his physical. But right now, the Raiders want to pay him $3 million and Lynch wants closer to $5 million.

Trading for and acquiring the now retired Seattle Seahawk, Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch, will seal a Super Bowl victory for the Oakland Raiders in 2018.

NewsAlert: Liberals introduce long-awaited bill to legalize marijuana
The new legislation paves the way for the country to become the first in the G7 to fully legalise the drug, reports CNN. Canada appears set to be the guinea pig for large industrialized countries when it comes to marijuana legalization.

The Seahawks and Raiders will play an exhibition finale in Oakland this summer - not that Avril will be tackling Lynch in that meaningless game. That's expected to be less of an issue than getting a deal done.

The Raiders went 12-4 last season before parting with running back Latavius Murray in free agency. With Lynch, the Oakland running game could be more efficient and better in goal-line situations, and with a power back on the roster again, the rookies can continue to develop and excel as change-of-pace backs. From 2011-2015, the former Seahawk had four straight 1,000 yard seasons and scored at least 11 rushing touchdowns each year. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Lynch would sign a two-year deal.

Knowing whether they'll have Lynch in their backfield when mini-camp starts, though, could affect where the Raiders select a running back in the draft, which starts Thursday. I remember that play.

Albert, tight end Marcedes Lewis and running back Corey Grant were the only players not in attendance for the first week of Jacksonville's offseason conditioning program.
