Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday arrested three suspected terrorists of the Islamic State (IS) from Jalandhar, Mumbai and Bijnor.
Six more people have been detained by the police team and they are now being questioned.
In a joint operation by UP ATS and STF, two people were arrested after a raid was carried out at a mosque in Bijnor's Barhapur area.
As per the information, the three arrested men are suspected to be part of a terror module which was planning to carry out terror activities across the country.

The joint operation was conducted at several places like Mumbai, Punjab, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, News18 reported.
The Uttar Pradesh ATS team arrested these three suspected ISIS terrorists from Jalandhar, Mumbai and Bijnor. "Legal action will be taken on the basis of evidence", UP Anti-Terror Squad chief Asim Arun was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.
Almost a month ago, police had busted ISIS' Khorasan module and of its suspected members Saifullah was killed in a 12-hour siege and anti-terror operation in Lucknow. The module was allegedly involved in the Ujjain train blast.
