This makes the Switch Nintendo's fastest selling console ever.

The console sold more than 906,000 units in the USA last month, the Japanese company said, citing data from industry tracker NPD Group.

The only answer for more copies of Zelda being sold than units of the Switch is fans are buying gear and games before they buy the Switch. To date, 925,000 units of Zelda Breath of the Wild has been sold by different retailers.

The company sold over 906,000 Switches in the USA in March. Since launch, Nintendo has struggled to keep up with demand for the Switch, a problem it hopes to rectify by doubling the production of the console for the next fiscal year.

This news however puts The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at the top spot as both the fastest-selling Nintendo launch title of all time as well as the fastest selling Zelda game of all time. "Breath of the Wild" is now the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time, and also the fastest-selling "Zelda game of all time, Fortune reported".

After the flopping of the Wii U, the Nintendo Switch is a great comeback for Nintendo. Nintendo said that was because some users bought both a limited edition of the game and another version. "With its various play modes and the innovative features of the Joy-Con controllers, Nintendo Switch provides unique experiences that people can take with them anywhere and share with anyone".

It is possible that the bulk of the Switch games will be created for the Nintendo Switch, with games specifically made for the console. That problem will only be exacerbated when games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, and Splatoon 2 debut in the coming months.
