Monday night, the latest chapter of one of this season's most beloved ongoing stories unfolded on live television - retired Cubs World Series hero David Ross on "Dancing With the Stars".

The NFL pro and his partner, Emma Slater, returned to the dance floor after last week's near-perfect score with a Beauty and the Beast-themed foxtrot set to the film's beloved tune "Evermore". At the end of the show it was Team Pretty Xxpensive and Team Baby Got Bach (Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd) up for elimination and, much like his time in Bachelor Nation, Nick got another chance. The pair scored 34/40.

Erika Jayne's elegant, graceful Viennese Waltz to a song from "Finding Dory" was her best performance to date, drastically toning down the sex appeal she felt she needed to convey in previous weeks.

Commenting on their experience together, Kim Herjavec, appearing with her dance partner on "GMA", said, "He says T stands for tough and tender - he's like a teddy bear".

Heather with Alan to jazz to "For the First Time in Forever" from Frozen.

Supreme Court decision halts executions in Arkansas
The executions of Stacey Johnson and Ledell Lee are scheduled for April 20, but their attorneys are working to halt those as well. Arkansas and other states with the death penalty are being hit by the declining availability of lethal drugs in recent years.

Although the performance may not have been technically superior, the judges and audience nevertheless were moved by its elegance, sincerity, and emotional power. Despite the mixed thoughts, Morris and Bersten earn a 34/40.

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess danced a Tango to "When Can I See You Again?" by Owl City from Wreck-It Ralph. The judges agree the dancing is just not dynamic enough, in physicality and emotion.

Several songs will be performed live by Auli'i Cravalho, ZZ Ward, and Donny Osmond, "Dancing with the Stars" season nine victor. Before the nine remaining couples begin the competition, previous champ Alfonso Ribeiro leads the charge in a song-and-dance number featuring everybody associated with the show right now.

Also taking the stage to perform live is singer ZZ Ward. The superb dance garners a whopping 39/40.

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold - While the former baseball star should be fine, his scores were in the bottom half.
