This is not the first time Delta has thrown food at a problem: a year ago, following a massive power outage that led to 2,300 canceled flights, the airline brought passengers doughnuts and pizza and offered free liquor, ABC News reported.
Most leading USA airlines have tried to limit empty seats by reducing the growth of flights.
One passenger said his flight was delayed multiple times before he arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
Those cancelations came after about 3,000 flights had already been canceled nationwide this week, leaving passengers desperate to get to their destinations frustrated and exhausted.
Customer call volumes remain high and Spring Break travel means reaccommodation opportunities are limited. It cancelled another 275 flights on Saturday morning.
Following a massive storm Wednesday which hit Atlanta, Delta Air Lines has announced that it was forced to cancel an estimated 3,000 flights this week.

Ivanka's business continued to surge in spite of several companies dropping or sidelining her brand since her father took office. Norman Eisen, who served as President Barack Obama's chief White House ethics lawyer, says he would "never have allowed it".
"Wednesday's severe weather was unprecedented for Atlanta and the specific track and intensity of weather like this is often hard to forecast", he said.
Their group had a short layover in Delta's hub -- the Atlanta area. Atlanta is Delta's busiest airport, and about 60 percent of its planes go through Atlanta on an average day. On Wednesday the airport was shut down for five hours due to the weather.
