Some people said they were bothered; one person said he was a citizen first before he was president; another person added that it's not disappointing because they never thought he'd release them in the first place.
The irony, of course, is that Trump is using the exact same argument for why he should, in fact, release his tax returns.

A resident at Cotton's town hall Monday said that Trump's tax returns would expose his overseas interests - a hint at the central role Trump's tax returns have taken in the continuing investigations into Russia's meddling with United States elections.
ROSE: That would tell us how any tax reform plan the White House proposes might affect the taxpayer in chief.
"We are under the same audit that existed, so nothing has changed." said Spicer. "It is a much more comprehensive understanding".
The $3 million campaign comes during a two-week congressional recess in which GOP lawmakers' town hall meetings have been rocked by liberal supporters of Obama's 2010 statute.
Her staff is investigating whether Mr. Trump or his family violated a law that prohibits them from accepting payments from foreign governments.
