The series will now shift to St. Louis, where the Blues will try to take a menacing 3-0 series lead at the Scottrade Center on Easter Sunday.

Joel Edmundson, who scored the overtime victor for St. Louis on Wednesday, scored at 3:51 of the second period to give the Blues a 1-0 lead.

Once they have taken the lead, the team leans heavily upon goaltender Jake Allen to salt away the game. I expect this game to be a major turning point in the series, either the Wild win and begin to mount a comeback, or the Blues win and seal Minnesota's fate down 3 games to 0.

"He was unbelievable, save after save", Blues defenseman Colton Parayko said. This kind of storyline makes playoff hockey fun to watch.

- They are being outshot by 14 shots a game on average. Defensively, the Minnesota Wild are allowing 2.5 goals per game and are killing 82.9 percent of their opponents power plays.

NOTES: Four members of the US women's hockey team, Twin Cities area natives Hannah Brandt, Kelly Pannek, Lee Stecklein and Maddie Rooney, led the crowd in the "Let's Play Hockey" chant before the opening faceoff. "You know, if they were 6-0 or something, I'd say it's going to be a tough task". We were completely out of the playoffs.

"We're real happy we got both wins in here, but I know that's not a team that's gonna quit", said Yeo, who coached the Wild for parts of five seasons before he was sacked in February of last season. Instead of playing with insane prices, I'm going to play a rare total and back the over five goals.

With Game 2 being eerily similar to Game 1, I very seriously considered copying my Game 2 Preview and posting it here, just to see if anybody would notice.

The second period of Friday's game was Exhibit A of the Yeo Plan being firmly in place. He still found himself at a bit of a loss for the right words to describe what he saw. There was no word on whether Yeo was able to keep a straight face as he said this. Against a team that really challenges you-not only the quality scoring chances, but the pressure at the net.

Parise, who grinded through illnesses and an early injury to finish with 19 goals in 69 games for his lowest non-lockout total since he was a rookie with New Jersey 11 years ago, more than made up for a missed opportunity with about 10 minutes remaining. He made some great saves like the second-period robbery of Charlie Coyle. Instead, I bring you invaluable content. "That's the thing, we can't just rely on Jake to have a performance like that night after night". "I'm gonna tell you right now that we're going to go on the road and we'll be ready for Game 3". He made some good saves. I think coming back home and forcing them to deal with some of the things we had to deal with in their building, as far as the momentum, as far as the crowd noise, we have to find a way to make that impactful tomorrow.
