Fans watched as driver Billy Monger, 17, careened into another vehicle which appeared to have stopped on the track in front of him.

The train of cars left Monger unsighted and he did not slow in his JHR Developments auto, which went into the rear of Pasma as the cars went through Schwantz Curve. Reports say it took up to two hours to extract him from the auto after he sustained leg injuries in the crash.
