TIED RECORD. Oklahoma City star Russell Westbrook comes up with his 41st triple-double of the season to equal Oscar Robertson's record.

"It wasn't something I thought about", Robertson told The Oklahoman newspaper recently.

Just when you thought NBA fans and basketball historians couldn't get enough, Russell Westbrook has made a decision to put himself in position to re-write history. Westbrook finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists in the contest as he tied Wilt Chamberlain (78) for the fourth-most career triple-doubles in National Basketball Association history.

The MVP candidate poured in an individual season-high eight three-pointers on his way to an enormous line of 45 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and five steals, finishing just a solitary rebound shy of passing Oscar Robertson's 55-year-old record.

Giannis Antetokounmpo added 11 points and 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. "I never dreamed about a moment like this, to be able to be on this stage".

"Right now I'm going to embrace this moment". Robertson averaged 30.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 11.4 assists for the Cincinnati Royals in 1961-62. "Tonight was a great night". The OKC Thunder are now sitting in sixth in the Western Conference.

The Spurs needed overtime against the Memphis Grizzlies, as Kawhi Leonard recorded a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds in a 95-89 victory.

Especially with some players banged up, it would be intuitive for certain guys to sit in at least one game of the back-to-back. Westbrook scored the game's final eight points overall as Denver's shooters went cold when one more bucket would have iced it.

Do you want to draw the NBA's No. 2 offense or No. 2 defense? "I am truly honoured to do it here in Oklahoma City". The Rockets are second to Golden State in scoring, at better than 115 points per game. That is very likely to happen, and it could happen in just one game.

The Grizzlies failed to score and Westbrook pulled up and buried a 3-pointer that put the Thunder ahead by four points with 14 ticks left in the game. Jason Kidd was voted Eastern Conference Coach of the Month after leading the Bucks to a 14-4 record in March, and though they lost to Dallas on Sunday, their recent success gained the Thunder's full attention.

Grizzlies veteran Vince Carter, in his 19th National Basketball Association season, said Westbrook is "playing out of his mind". "He's the MVP, there's no question". I give thanks to the man above. The Wizards returned from a five-game trip and stopped a three-game slide. As like the OKC Thunder, the Memphis Grizzlies had their valuable player, he is Mike Conley. "We don't feel like there's anything too severe".

"I can't show up my teammates, that's for sure, especially Double T (Thompson) worked hard for our team, he's a big-time player for our team so I had good intentions of what I wanted to happen, but the way it came out was.it didn't look good on TV". We got the win.

The teams had identical records entering their final regular-season matchup, but Cleveland (51-27) now has a one-game lead over Boston (50-28) with only four games to play.

Grizzlies: Memphis continues its home stand with a Friday against the New York Knicks. Vince Carter quickly went down to tie up the game with a pair of free throws, but Westbrook was ready with a response. They host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, head to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Saturday, then finish the season with a back-to-back at Minnesota and vs. Denver on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
