Lawyers for Dao filed an emergency request Wednesday in an IL court seeking to preserve surveillance videos, cockpit voice recordings, passenger and crew lists, and other materials related to United Flight 3411, Reuters reported.

Passenger Audra Bridges posted the video on Facebook, and it has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times, and triggered strong criticism of United.

The video shows a police officer telling the passenger, who has been identified as 69-year-old David Dao, that he would drag him off the plane if he didn't give up his seat.

Mr Spicer said local authorities and United were reviewing the incident in which a man was forcibly removed at Chicago's O'Hare Airport. "We can't do that".

Indian airlines has offered refund for ticket, hotel accommodation, alternative flights and monetary compensation to passengers for denying boarding.

Megan McCarthy, a spokeswoman for the airline, declined to say if the payment would be in cash, frequent-flier miles or other forms.

A bloodied and distressed Dao was caught on camera and the video was soon be shared over social media, prompting a massive backlash. Just as employers are vicariously liable for the actions of their employees, companies are also at risk of claims from their employees in the event they are injured physically or emotionally during the course of their duties.

United Airlines spokesperson Megan McCarthy issues a summary of what the airline knew about the incident at the time. One of Dao's five children, Crystal Pepper, said the family was "horrified, shocked and sickened" by what happened.

Hours later on Monday, his tone turned defensive.

By Tuesday afternoon, nearly two days after the Sunday evening events, Munoz issued another apology.

Chicago attorneys for a Kentucky doctor dragged off a United Express flight want the airline and the city of Chicago to preserve evidence in the case. Those documents are often the first steps toward a lawsuit.

His legal team planned to hold a news conference Thursday to discuss the matter with reporters.

The incident involving Dao happened Sunday evening in Chicago aboard a plane bound for Louisville.

A total of three Chicago Department of Aviation officers are on leave following the incident, which has turned into a publicity nightmare for United. "As part of our review, two additional officers have been placed on administrative leave until further notice". How many of these passengers were forcibly removed? Dao said he couldn't get off the plane since he needed to see patients the next day. He refused to leave.

Employees then contacted Chicago Aviation Department officers to help remove Dao.

As the flight waited to depart, officers could be seen grabbing the man from a window seat, pulling him across the armrest and dragging him down the aisle by his arms.

"I was surprised that things escalated to that extent, but given my own experience, I absolutely believe that had I continued to demure and say "Look, I'm not giving up my seat" you know the gate agent made it plain that they were planning on calling security and having me physically escorted off the plane, physically ejected from my seat".
